Bowing to the Beauty of Typography
Under the name of ‘Bogenschrift’ a first attempt in creating a custom typeface from scratch was made. Starting with a grid that would set the base for all further characters every lowercase letter of the basic latin alphabet was fitted into place. The following adjustments to each individual glyph made the typeface retain its geometrical look while becoming more convenient and comforting to read.
The knowledgebase for this experimental typographic project was provided by Martin Gnadt, a “typo-graphic” designer, as he likes to call himself.
